Installation:

Prior installation determine the correct backset on the door and door thickness to make sure the commercial doorknob lock is fittable to your entrance or exit door.

 

Commercial door knob installation process is straight through:

 

  1. Install latch unit by mounting it into the door and position it to lock when closing the door.
  2. Remove the inside knob by pressing on the knob catch with a suitable pin to pull the knob off the spindle.
  3. Adjust outer plate by rotating it in or out depending on the thickness of the door.
  4. Install lock unit by aligning the front housing to engage with the latch tailpiece. If encountering resistance simply peak from the other side to properly align the latch with the housing.
    Do not mount unit with the door closed and if necessary depress latch bolt slightly to allow retractor to engage with the latch piece.
  5. Attach the inside ring on the back of the knob and fasten it with two machine screws. Do not overtighten.
  6. Position the spring clip notch with the spring clip aligned and slide the spring clip cover to cover the bolts.
  7. Line up the inside knob to align back with the knob catch and slide it back onto the spindle. It should sound a click if fitted successfully. In some cases, you would have to simultaneously depress the knob catch to fully slide the inside knob into position.
