Commercial Lever

Installing the convertible throubolt lever handle set can be tricky unless you are equipped with the patient of a commercial locksmith.

Installation

First, remove the bolt latch out of the box and check which direction your door closes, then position the latch appropriately.

1. Disassemble the inside lockset unit by first depressing the lever latch with the provided pushpin and pulling the inside lever out. Then proceed by removing the rose cover and the inside rose ass’y and plate.
2. The latch is already in position, align the lock body so it engages with the latch unit tailpiece. Remember that door must be open when installing the guarded latch unit lockset. Make sure that the latch tailpiece is secured and properly inserted.
3. Drill two 9/64″ holes to be able to install the levers throughbolts into the door. The template is usually provided.
4. Secure the lockset unit with the inside rose plate. Make sure it is tight to the door and sitting flat on. Tighten the plate with two screws which are also provided with the lever.
5. Insert the Inside Rose Ass’y and tighten it with the appropriate screws. You must position it vertically with the screw holes.
6. Place rose cover and recess for inside rose locking to be able to secure the cover in position. Then rotate clockwise to lock firmly as possible.
7. Slide the inside lever handle onto the tube making sure the lever catch on the tube is engaged with the lever.
8. Test for proper function.
